God of War is finally released on PC!
God of War (2018), has become a critically acclaimed hit around the globe. It was released worldwide on April 20th 2018 for the PS4 and a Microsoft Windows based version of the game, was released on January 14th 2022 over on Steam.
Developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, tells the story of legendary hero Kratos (widely known for his signature double-blade chains) and son Atreus, as they venture through vast Nordic lands filled with dangerous enemies, epic bosses and beautiful landscapes as far as the eye can see. Following the death of Kratos’ second wife, and Atreus’ mother, they set forth to fulfil her wishes that her ashes be spread far and wide over the at the highest peak of the Nine Realms.

Is God of War (2018) worth playing, you ask yourself? Well, if you’re a huge fan of the original series (dating back to 2005 when the PS2 was at it’s peak of quality games), you’ll know that the franchise has one of the biggest fanbases going. If you’re new to the series and enjoy a decent action-adventure RPG, with likeable characters, story rich synopsis and beautifully ground-breaking music, then God of War (2018) may well be right up your street.

After having played God of War (2018) on the PS4 myself, it never fails to disappoint when taking down enemies with a magical wielding axe and upgrades for weapons and armour. The scenery is breathtaking and the attention to detail on the monsters is incredible!
The PC version even runs on low end computers with an average performance of 720p at 30fps. Now that’s what I call impressive! You’d have to be running a GPU of NVIDIA GTX 960 (4GB), or AMD R9 290X (4GB) – CPU Intel i5-2500k (4 core 3.3 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (4 core 3.1 GHz) with 8GB DDR – Windows 10 64-Bit and a GB Storage of around 70GB HDD. That’s pretty hefty, but totally worth it for a decent action-adventure open world game for God of War (2018) on Microsoft Windows Steam.

It’s great to think that a franchise such as God of War, has come such a long way since the days of the PS2. God of War (2018) on PC, brings that fresh, clean and crisp feel to it that really makes you feel like you’re immersed in the game. It also feels like the series has matured a lot too, with the days of Kratos going out for blood, down to where he and Atreus build that father and son bond relationship. It’s truly remarkable to see that the franchise is still going strong after all these years!
God of War is a game definitely worth investing in!
