Why Spider-Man Miles Morales is so much fun to play
Never change a winning team, that is what they say and they are absolutely right. The Amazing Spider-Man was the Game of the Year on PlayStation 4 in 2018. It was webslinging greatness. New York looks amazing and it even allowed you to take down a villain or two. However, what comes after The Amazing Spider-Man? Well, that would be Miles Morales. Miles offers a brand new mood within the Spider-Man universe.
Though Miles Morales is not as extended of a game as the original Spider-Man-game, it offers a great first experience on the new consoles. The game is so much fun to play because PlayStation 5 gives you everything you need to really enjoy the game. First of all: no loading times. It is crazy how quickly you get used to that, so here we are to remind you. The console is so powerful, you forget what loading screens even look like. Especially for a versatile, agile guy as Miles, it just makes the whole experience a lot more smooth.
Plus, you have a whole open world to explore. That’s nothing new, but it does feel great. You can go to a point of interest on the map or do some side quests like rescue cats. Even if you would not do a thing, it is so much fun to just climb and swing through the city. The whole experience is just so smooth, and it just feels great to move through this world so rapidly.
You can websling your way almost everywhere and choose yourself what you want to do.
The great thing about Spider-Man is that it has a comic background, so this game does not take itself too seriously. It is a bit crazy to be rescuing cats with the abilities you have, but those funny moments are working together greatly because they are mixed with a bit more seriousness. The story of Miles may not be too crazy or silly, it is a very interesting story that fits perfectly in the Spider-Man world.
Miles is a fun person to be (around). He has a very different personality than Peter and he has different skills. Miles uses electricity to do special attacks, but that is not the best thing about him. That would be his skill to turn invisible, as you can use that in so many fun ways. Sneaking up on people is so much fun. Plus, it is what people often answer when you ask them what superpower they want to have, right? Turning invisible just seems like so much fun and this game shows exactly what that would feel like.
