How to win Fortnite battle royale without getting any kills

Winning a Battle Royale in Fortnite is hard enough on a normal day, but with a bit of skill and the right amount of luck its more than possible. It is for that reason I decided to up the stakes!

I can't emphasise how important this one is. Think about it this way, they can’t shoot you if they can’t see you! With that being said, its very likely that at one point or another, you will need to be on the move, due to the nature of the storm. Only luck will see you find a spot the remains within the circle all game. So, for that reason, it is important that I tell you good hiding spots. We have pushes, which are a personal favourite of mine. Small bushes are fine when on the move but try find the bigger bushes if you are staying there for a prolonged time. High grass is also very useful, especially if you have been spotted. Run into the high grass, crouch and keep moving until they give up or there is an opening to make a getaway.

This one can be tricky, as every vehicle is loud and draws attention, so this option should be for getaways only. With that being said, we have options: car, motorboat & a helicopter. Most cars will run out of fuel so make sure you have a strategy, unless of course you find yourself in a super car. Helicopters are cool as you are almost untouchable once get up high, but if someone manages to deal enough damage, goodnight. Boats are effective too, but they are super load and are only useful on water. To summarise, proceed with caution.

Given that this challenge requires you to not shoot, carrying guns are pointless. On the plus side, it means you can carry as much healing items as because. This is vital, as you need max health to maximise your chances of survival. After all, just because you aren’t shooting, doesn’t mean you’ll receive the same treatment.

Fishing rods are very useful when attempting this challenge, especially as there are a variety of fish. As well as that, for the amount of health they give you, they can be consumed extremely quickly. Additionally, positions and med kits or normally located it populated places, so fishing is the safer option.

All the techniques mentioned are great, however when the circle comes in, and there’s no where to hide, it’s time to build. They say the best form of defense is attack, but attacking is not an option so defend, defend, defend! You should have maxed out all of your materials but the time the circle is small enough for everyone to be seen, so just keep building if you are being attacked. If you’re a pro builder, this should be light work for you.

I really hope this goes without saying, but avoid named locations, because that is where all the loot is. Loot attracts people. People are there to kill you. Stay away from people. Stay away from loot. Stay away from named locations! Of course, you may find yourself in situations where you need to pass through named locations to get into the next circle, but just try your best to avoid at all costs, are you are very likely to come across stragglers.

Simply put, become one with the storm. When the storm closes in, you close in. With that being said, it is important to be realistic in terms of timing. If you are on the far side of the map, the storm will close in quicker than you can run, so give yourself a head start. The main rationale around this tactic is most logical thinking players follow the direction of the next circle, and don’t tend look back, so there is less chance of you being spotted. Additionally, when navigating the storm, it’s important to be aware of popular named locations, so make sure you pick your route accordingly.

Given that the goal is to make yourself difficult to see dressing up as a giant banana would be extremely counterproductive. Nothing says come and shoot me like a colourful costume, so try to keep it simple. After all, there is a reason why soldiers wear camouflage!

These are my top tips for winning a game of Fortnite without the use of weapons. Ultimately, you’re going to have to think on your feet and make smart decisions given that there are plenty of things that can happen during a battle royale that are beyond your control.
